Lessons
![]() Lessons are taught from the ground up... this means that the goal of the student is to become a knowledgeable self-responsible horse owner. Students start on the ground, learning how to maneuver horses through a large amount of different obstacles, and while doing this they learn the personality of the horse. Once students are able to show confidence on the ground then students will begin to ride. A typical hour is generally spent getting the horse, Anatomy, grooming, handling, trailering, feeding, bathing,
wrapping, dentistry, farrier, riding, driving, vaulting, and trail are all incorporated in lessons. Students Summer Camps
Summer Camps are a short four day immersion program for students to learn all aspects of proper preparation and horse care. Students learn about the amount of work it is taking care of horses, enjoying them, and becoming a life long responsible learner. Beginner Basic Horsemanship: June/30-July 3; July 14-17; Aug. 4-7 $230 Working on introducing riders of all abilities to the challenges, responsibilities, and joys of caring for and riding horses. Focus on the seven Parelli Games, safe horsemanship practices, conformation, gaits, proper tack fitting, and more.Int/Adv. Western and English: June/23-26 (I); July7-10 (A), Designed to challenge and improve riding/communication skills while increasing self confidence. Games are taken to a higher level of completion, riding is working on becoming a soft handed team. Trails are included and become more challenging.
Trail Trackers!! 7/13,27 8/10 $25/trip Explore the Maine Wilderness by horseback!! Several day trips around the local area. Must have access to a trailer to transport own horses! Pack a lunch and lets go! Must be able to canter or lope, & fit to ride for 2+ hrs. |
