| This is Little Cash Away aka "Cash" is a 15yr old Reg QH 15.2hh that loves to play with his buddies! Cash does dressage, western, team penning, trails, swims, and parades. He loves to "help" you clean out the water buckets, and he loves to swim. Cash is my go to man, if ever in need of a calming ride or a listening ear I can count on him.
Cash really showed me how far we have come in our relationship. Recently went to a show, and we had a blast working together something I hope to continue on this summer.
April 11, 2010 brought Cash and I to a Parelli Clinic. We enjoyed ourselves and are continuing to work on our partnership.

Dobbin is a registered Standardbred with a birthday on Valentines day!!! His Registered name is Oil Master... Dobbin loves to go on trails, and loves to be the last one in line. Dobbin is going to be 16 this Feb... he is 15.1hh. He also likes to steal sandwitches from his riders. Dobbin has slowly gained weight, and is looking great. Dobbin has really showed us all his unique personallity!
Dobbin enjoys trails with lots of woods time, and going for long trots in the soft sand on the side of the road. Recently he has moved up in the herd, making for some really funny moments. Dobbin is also coming along without his bit, and learning to self collect!

Moony and Sparky.... Moony is the palomino mare that is 14yrs old. Moony is a great ride, fearless trail leader, but lover of the sweet bites of green grass. Talk about a big trot, this girl floats on air. Moony is working towards going in her halter, but for now works best in a D-ring. As of spring 09' we are working outside the ring in just her halter and only needing the bit in the ring.
Moony went to the Monmouth Show with Courtney, and proved to be a good little girl in the showmanship and trail. It seems that going "round and round" doesn't suit her! Who would blame her though? Courtney continued riding the rest of the day, realizing that the trail classes that help to keep the horse thinking were what worked for Moony.
Sparky is her little filly, born 9/24/07 that is growing soooo fast!

| Sparky is able to do all seven of the Parelli games, loves to be scratched, and is able to be led from another horse so that she can go riding with everyone out on the trail. Sparky had her first bath recently and was a super trooper. Sparky also loves to explore the "other side" of the fence, and has been wearing a saddle. Sparky has begun her harness training, and has taken to it very well! Sparky is turning white, all over and has also taken to trail riding with the group! She loves being ponied off of another horse. Even has learned to "follow" along when in the woods without a rider. She stands calmly waiting and is just curious about all the animals in the woods, RT 202 didn't bother her a bit.

| Arizona the paint pony is 8 yrs old and about 10hh!!!! Arizona loves to go for trail rides, and is bombproof on the road. Zoni is learning how to pull a cart, but is also loving the limelight at the shows with Amelia!!! The cart is Arizona's ticket, she loves to pull it, and to go with us on rides now. Can't wait to see her go this winter, we are looking for a small pony sled if anyone has one. Zona does very well pulling the little dog sled we have for her. Amelia has even fallen asleep on the trail with her. Courtney has begun to ride Arizona on the trails, and both are doing great. Can't wait for spring.
Zona is bred and due around April of 2010, what ever this foal is it will definatly have bad hair! Upon check it appears that Arizona has absorbed the pregnancy. Maybe another time.
Once again Zona was amazing! She walked the Winthrop parade with cool confidence helping Meghan learn to lead a horse in December.

a registered TB mare, 17hh 10yrs old. SueCitySue loves to take people for rides... she loves the little kids, and thinks that riding on the trail is "so cool!" Sue also has been learning a little sidesaddle... which is very un-ladylike actually. Sue was very excited recently when we had "friends" over to visit she and Tavish loved checking them out. Sue is showing us how much she loves the trails! Madison works closely with Sue, and is able to almost work her "off-line" at this point.
The vet visit on 4/20/10 was not the best for Sue. Sue has had a small growth in the corner of her R eye, which when looked at by the vet it was determined that it is cancer. So the decision to take out her 3rd eyelid was immediate, and we are sending the eyelid to be able to identify what type of cancer it is. Along with the growth in her eye the front of her skull is a bulge that is associated with the eye cancer. I have decided that no matter what the results are Sue will be living here until she is uncomfortable, and at that point a decision will be made as to what her needs are. There is no way of knowing if she will have an issue today, tomorrow, or in 15 yrs.
Tavish
9yr old Clydesdale gelding. Tavish arrived on Groundhog's Day 08.... he will be working on gaining weight (about 400lbs needed), getting rid of the rain rot, and working on those feet manners. Tavish was a super trooper and had his teeth floated, feet trimmed, feathers treated, and MTG applied all in one day (Feb 4th).Picture below left is Dobbin and Tavish March 08.
Tavish has really become a light gray color this spring, almost white! Tavish is learning the Parelli seven games, and is progressing nicely. He loves to be groomed and will stand nicely for a bath. Tavish is working on picking up his feet for us and learning about our personal bubble. Tavish is still unsure about a rider, but once on he loves to take you anywhere. Kerstin has been working the most with him, and just rode him for the first time this week (May 15th) for a small jaunt around the schools.
Leaps and bounds for Tavish. He was recently adjusted by Doc Terrell, and thus able to pick up his feet, resulting in s

ome much needed farrier work. His lameness has improved as well with the adjustment, and was again Sept 11 adjusted already we are seeing more improvement in the lameness. Tavish looks like a canadate for vaulting. Tavish went on a trail this past weekend (oct 08) and loved it! We went up into the apple orchards, and back down the roads. Traffic isn't an issue, but being so high up his riders really have to watch out for branches! Tavish is learning to relax with riders, and has become a regular favorite of students. He has such a gentle personality. He is also getting the idea of having his feet trimmed, and holding himself up. His lameness is gone, and he is playing with Cash on a regular basis. He does however run away from Arizona....Mike calls him the Squirrel King. Spring 09 has brought Tavish full circle. He now is ridden regularly both on trails and in the ring. Jamie is leasing him and spending tons of time to build the relationship. He is super motivated by food... hmmm wonder what we could get him to do.
Summer 09 Tavish now rides with a full cheek bit, and is so soft in the mouth. He has a driving harness too, we will be working him in that soon to see what we can do.
Trail riding and offering rides to Amelia and Carter are high on Tavish's list of loves. Jamie is working on cantering and troting for longer periods of time, and including patterns in her work. Not to mention that Tavish now will stand for a trim of the feet in 20 min flat~
Winthrop Parade on 12/5 was once again graced with Tavish's presence.... he lead with everyone following the huge red bow on his tail.
Parelli clinic with Tavish went well, he trailered like a champ and was well mannered. Jamie had some fun breakthroughs with him and is continuing to work on their Partnership. 4/11/10 Memorial Day 10' was super for Tavish... he is such a mooch~
Buttermilk Biscuit

Biscuit is a palomino mare that has taken to life here on the farm wonderfully. She has enjoyed two naps on her first day, and a stretch of her legs! Biscuit will be starting her seven games and patterns right off, along with driving training. Can't wait to see her go.
She seems to like everyone, and is pretty laid back about anything. Glad she gets to start off her new life on the new year!
Biscuit took her first trail ride yesterday, and with a saddle on. There were 12-15 snowmobiles that passed us at different speeds all were handled with out a care in the world by her! Only after about an hour of being out did she think that the fresh snow looked good to roll in! (She got up)
I have foundout that Biscuit is a AQHA filly that has a birthday on 3-18-08! Her name at birth was Pearl, and her sire was a Perlino AQHA Stallion, and her dam was a bay AQHA mare. Unfortunatly both of Biscuit's parents are dead. I can't wait to get some baby pics of her.
Biscuit and I traveled to a Parelli Clinic on 4/9/10. She walked right on the trailer, was completely mellow in the ring and very good about picking up a new horse in the trailer with her. I was super proud of her.

Sweet "C"
Sweet C is a three yr old red roan standardbred filly. She is here for some training and working to get back on the track. Right brain is how she approaches new things, and isn't too sure about the goats... you know how scary they can be!:)
C has already joined Dobbin and Cash on a road/trail adventure and did very well, she was also very tired by the time she got back to her buddy Sue. As of the end of June C is advancing in her games and has been able to cross the scary tarp without rushing, play with the ball, and the biggest thing is that she will come up to you first in the pasture! Her relationship is doing much better she will be going to the "track" tomorrow to work on it with Cash. Let's see what we do!
C has had her first "ride" with Addie (7-17-10). Both were great partners! Sweet C took it all in stride, along with the carrot flavored treats too! Addie and C played together first without the saddle, then with, and finally Addie hopped on and C took her for a squeeze through the spools, noodles, and then to the barn. Vola, no sweat ride. Now to work on her balance with a person on top of her rather than behind her in a cart.
Goats!

There are now two goats residing here, Ike and his brother Mac. Mac has white on his sides, and a cast on his right rear leg...Mac wandered into Annies pen, and she kicked him. He broke the leg and even with a cast on is still managing to hobble around after his brother! Amelia likes to feed Ike his bottle, and we have to watch out that they both don't share bottles. Goats have grown quickly and Mac is due to have his cast off on May 4 09, he is ready. The cast hasn't slowed him down one bit! Mac is learning to walk again after having his cast off. He still holds the leg up when resting but is making slow progress. The two of them are very social, and acrobatic!
These rascals now enjoy running around the barn, and the playground next door. We can't wait t o see them this winter on the snow. I also want to start hiking with them.
Summer has brought many different hikes, Mt Pisgah was a blast, and they were even off leash when we went! I am looking into dog packs for them to wear and harnesses for their training.
As for snow... they don't like to come out for it. I did however purchase a blanket for them, and they ate it...so they'll have to learn to like the snow!
Both Mac and Ike had a bath today July 19th... both actually stood there and loved being scrubbed. I thought that they would be more to handle with the hose and soap... tells you what it is like when the relationship is first!
Cats:
This is Smudge he is keeping watch ov er the stable from the tree tops, and being a super mouser!
Wheezer is here... sleeping so as to be up for the mousing at night with his brother Smudge.
Oboo is a cat that ended up here, and likes to stay because of the food...he is a great mouser, and picks a little bit on Wheezer and Smudge. He likes to stay curled up in the hay loft. Amelia is able to pet him, but anyone else watch out!
He has come a long, way and does come into the apt to get a drink and will occationally sleep inside for a while. He is softening up!
Oboo has dissapeared, I hope that he will be back soon. He had really become a love bug and spent nights in the house with us. Oboo has not come back, and we miss him. (10/09)
Foul:
The late Wilbur... Stinky and Hobbles...the inseprable duo. Stinky has a wife on order, and will be here on Thursday June 5th.... Izzy is Stinky's new wife, which Stinky chased around the first few days, but now they are settling in and beginning to actually lay eggs...with HUGE yolks. Want any???
Izzy keeps Stinky on his toes, and they both enjoyed the rain in June... I think they were the only ones that did. They keep trying to "fly" this fall, seems like they think they should go down south:) They are too heavy to get any lift and succeed in only looking like goobers!
Henny Penny in her wreath! Henny is about 7 yrs old as of 2009. She will occationally lay an egg. Mornings consist of tapping on the sliding glass door to get a cracker from Amelia. She still lays eggs!~
Sam and Henny talking over crackers.
Animals that have made thier way home!
Presidential Sugar

Sugar is an 11 yr old STB gelding that wasn't fast enough on the track. He came here on July 18, 2009. He seems to be a L brain extrovert, and a fast learner at that! Look to see him in the saddle soon. Sugar took to the saddle like an old pro, KK had a wonderful first ride on him. Sugar enjoys the trail, and going out with everyone. His big scar on his L shoulder showing some re-growth of hair, and we have found that it helps him to have support boots on while riding. Sugar is a L brain extrovert. Sugar has proved that he is just so patient. He will stand for a long time to be groomed, is still lame on his L front ankle (which we are waiting to fuse) and could really have some go if we needed. I find that the boots put on his front help with support if going on the trail, but are otherwise un needed. Sugar was in the Winthrop Parade on 12/5 and after the first few minutes of jitters was a perfect gentleman for Jenna. Way to go!
Sugar looks good after winter, but is still a little lame. Alas it doesn't look like he will be able to carry a heavy rider. I am at a cross road point with this gentleman. GOOD NEWS! Vicki and Bob have taken Sugar into their home and hearts to be a horse for their grandchildren, and a playmate to their Arab/QH cross horse Lightnin' Jack! Sugar made the trip to his new home in Wayne with grace, and has been enjoying the lovely pastures provided! I will keep you updated as to his adventures. (Honestly this was the first time I'd not cried when saying I'll see you later to a horse, must mean he's in the right place:)
Soliel

| Soliel is dun mare with a blaze that arrived on March 14th 2008 and is looking forward to living like a real equine princess!!! She has adjusted to living the good life and doing a few lessons with kids now and then. Soleil has even added showing to her resume, and is good at telling the judge what she thinks! Soliel made it home on Dec 13th and has Moony as a companion... the two are loving the round bales and are getting used to the dogs, kids, and lakefront. Moony has recently taken to sneaking out and then back in again... the only evidence is the poop on the wrong side of the fence!
